Van Orman Family reunion!

Look at my excitement!
This past weekend, we had the opportunity to go up to Waterton Springs Camping ground for a family reunion! (Travis's Mom's side of the family.) Unfortunatly for us, we were told people were going to arrive thursday night...well that was not the case. We didn't find this out until we got there! So I got a whole extra night campin Lucky me! (I do not like camping, just in case you couldn't catch all of my excitement).
It was so super cold at night, super hot during the day (Which was nice!! Got a nice tan!) ate a stew with moose meat in it (which was yummy), saw a SNAKE beside our tent (I FREAKED out!) and then we had some fun exploring around cameron lake...
Catching some rays.
So as soon as Travis's family arrived, we scooted off into waterton because some wanted to hike and wander around or whatever. Well turns out only 2 people went on a hike and then the rest of us went and spent time at cameron lake while we waited for the hikers to be done. We had a lot of fun! However, we decided we had waited long enough for the hikers, so we started going up the trail to find them, when all of the sudden a crazy lady jump out of her car and started yelling at us "We just saw a BEAR from the road!! Its heading your direction!!" Awesome. I wanted to run back down and get in the van and cry, but Travis decided we better go and tell the rest of the gang...awesome. Fortunately I have a very loud husband who yelled the whole way and probably scared away the bear. Then once all the fun was over (and everyone was getting antsy to get the heck home!) We started driving home ,and when we passed waterton? A baby BEAR crossing the road!
At least I've got my once-a-year camping experience over and done with.

We did end up having fun, but next time hopefully we will be given more information so we are not so unprepared!!

Finally! Some wedding pictures!

I have been very patiently waiting for some more wedding pictures from our wedding photographer! (Travis's Sister) She has been working her butt off the past few months at the hospital and prepping for a new baby! (So she had very good reason!! Also...she took TONS of pictures!) I was SO excited to finally have some more pictures! I cannot wait to see more and to get them hung up! Thanks Nikki!! Here are a few of my favorites so far! Check out my facebook page if you want to see more!!
Another bridal shot.

From the bridal shoot 2 weeks before the wedding!

Coming out of the temple! Precious!

Not sure why there is grey at the bottom!

Bridal Party! Love them!

This is my absolute FAVORITE!

We took some fun ones at city hall!

Stay tuned for more! :)

A few crafty things!

Alright! I am always having Travis hang up things on our walls and I am constantly attempting to make cute things! Here are the latest little things! The Live/Laugh/Love hanging was a wedding present and it is super adorable! Love it!

This is us getting ready to go to the wedding. Travis does not look impressed!

Our little fishies! :)

A few weeks ago, Travis and I decided we needed some excitement in our basement suite...and we decided on fish! (Seeing as that is probably the only pet we were allowed!)
We had so much fun getting everything together for our tank!
We ended up getting 2 black skirt tetras (Sam & Ella)
And 6 Zebra daniels(..?) (Kim Kardashian, special, mustard 1,2,3&4)
Basically we got the cheapest fish just to see if we would be able to keep them alive.
We did good for the first week, and then Special and Mustard #4 died. Fortunately the pet store has a 2 week gaurentee, so Travis got the fish out of the tank (I was seriously GAGGING! How could you just pick up dead slimy fish! Bleh!!) and he took them back and got 2 replacements! This was all good until the other day I looked into the tank, and there was Kim Kardashian, being sucked right into our filter. (Ironically the REAL Kim Kardashian got married the day before...maybe this is a sign?)
Dead Kim Kardashian! Being sucked into the filter...

This is our tank!

Our tank after adding a little wallpaper!
Close-up on the added wall-paper!

Call us fish killers if you want, but at least all of them haven't died at once!! We would like to get a little shark for our tank eventually because that would be sweet!

New(ish) Chairs!

Before we got married, we looked and looked and looked for cheap furniture that would make due in our basement suite years. I found an awesome table on kijiji for $30, however finding chairs that were cheap, not pieces of crap and not ugly was near impossible. Travis' parents have tons of old furniture lying around and we were welcome to look and take something if we wanted. Time was running out, and we needed kitchen chairs, so we got these old torn up chairs. With a little duct tape fix, they worked.

If you were at our wedding you might have noticed the black and white damask pattern everywhere. I am IN LOVE with this pattern. Not sure why, but we have many things in our place this pattern! Picture frames, bedding, pillows...etc! Anyways, for our wedding we found a bunch of vinyl of THE pattern and we used it in various locations around our reception. After the wedding was done, there were piles and piles of this unused vinyl...so my darling husband was kind enough to pull out his tools (not too hard for this guy!) and recovered the chairs! I think it is a huge improvement! And I love this pattern!
