Reunited!

Here is the story...

A few weeks after I started work, I started getting a rash from my wedding rings. I thought this was pretty weird so I started doing some research and thought maybe some moisture got trapped under my rings and caused a rash. Then I was thinking maybe since now I'm working and washing my hands a million times a day, I had just simply dried out my hands and putting on my rings after work caused the rash.

Since there is not a store where Travis got my ring in Medicine Hat, we took it in to Lethbridge to see what they could do.

Apparently when you get a ring, it is supposed to be coated with something...anyways, mine wasn't and combined with dry hands and a slight allergic reaction (My sister has always reacted to silver and gold...so I guess I must be a little allergic too!) my rings needed to be sent off.

Not wearing my wedding rings for 2 weeks was an interesting experience. First off, it made me sad, because I love my rings! Secondly I felt like a heathen. Every time Travis and I went out to dinner or to the movies, people would look at his wedding ring...and then notice I didn't have one on.

Anyways! I got my rings back and they have never been shinier! I am so glad I no longer have to fear those looks anymore!!

Wedding pictures hung...finally!

We have been married for over 5 months, so we thought it was now an appropriate time to hang up some wedding pictures.

We got a few frames for the wedding, and I bought some with the many gift cards I received from the wedding.

Then we had to get the pictures actually printed. Costco has always been really good for cheap, fast, good quality pictures. Fortunately they had a sale! Plus if you signed up for an account you got 60 free prints!
Score!
Then, thanks to some miscalculating on Costco's part, I got a little over 300 pictures for only $15. It must have been my lucky day!!

Then my darling handyman of a husband agreed to hang up all the pictures!

This is my Pier 1 photo wall. All these frames I bought thanks to some gift cards!

I was happy to take out the random pictures that come in frames!

More photos!

Now be aware that my photography skills lack greatly and they look better/not crooked in real life!

Yay! Wedding pictures!

I have been waiting and nagging and waiting and nagging for the past 4 months for my wedding pictures! They are finally here! (I know, I know. My photographer was busy with other things. Like having a super cute baby girl.) Anyways! Here are a couple of my favorite shots!

First photo as husband and wife! Such a cool moment!

So...the night before the wedding I realized I forgot to get my nails done! So theses
are stick on's from walmart! Worked out pretty good!

My eyes look crazy green here!

Fact: My flowers were from michaels...and my mom arranged it!
Turned out awesome and I wasn't left with a bunch of dead
flowers! In fact...they still look pretty good!

Love this!

I love every part of the Temple!
It was SO hot that day! But we still managed to have a little fun!

A random man kept walking in and out of that door...probably
thought we were nuts!

I really like this one!

Took lots of good pictures around Cardston!

This was not posed! All of us in the limo Texting/Tweeting/Facebooking!
I'll have to admit, I changed my name and relationship status as soon as I
got my phone! Some might say pathetic...but I was proud!!

I am really surprised this is the only pic with Travis doing this face. He ALWAYS
make this face!

Look how gorgeous it was that day!

Who doesn't love kissy pictures!

This is the "mermaid" picture

The limo dropped us off at the reception moments before it
started! I changed from contacts to glasses on the ride over!
My eyes were driving me crazy because I never wear
my contacts! I am sooo a glasses girl!!

The reception was exactly how I had always pictured it.

SO beautiful. My mom made this! The bottom 3 layers
are FAKE! I also love the table skirt. LOVE!!

Cake eating/smashing in each others faces!

Pink cake?! Of course!

Off to start our new adventure!

It does not seem like we were married all the way back in June! It was such a perfect day and I am so greatful for every moment of that day! All the craziness was worth it! And the best part? Getting sealed to my husband for all eternity! None of this "till death do us part" stuff. This is forever, and its a big deal! I am so lucky I found someone like Travis! No one will ever know how amazing he is! And he is all mine! :)
Sorry about the mushy bits! What can I say...I'm a romantic!

Thanks Nikki for the pictures!

Finally! Some wedding pictures!

I have been very patiently waiting for some more wedding pictures from our wedding photographer! (Travis's Sister) She has been working her butt off the past few months at the hospital and prepping for a new baby! (So she had very good reason!! Also...she took TONS of pictures!) I was SO excited to finally have some more pictures! I cannot wait to see more and to get them hung up! Thanks Nikki!! Here are a few of my favorites so far! Check out my facebook page if you want to see more!!
Another bridal shot.

This is my absolute FAVORITE!

We took some fun ones at city hall!

Mr. & Mrs. Johnson!

I know it has been a while since I have posted about all of the happenings...but life has been so hectic!
oh...and we don't have any internet at our place...but hopefully soon!
Travis & I have officially been married for 15 days! I cannot even believe it! Our wedding was so perfect and I could not have asked for anything more. The whole day was just PERFECT!
Everything about the day was exactly how I had always dreamed it would be. I cant believer I now get to be with my best friend forever!
I cannot wait to see all of the pictures our wonderful photographer, Nikki (and my new sister-in-law!) took! She has a few posted on her sight, and soon there will be more! www.imprintedmomentsphotography.blogspot.com
Check out the few there, and keep checking back for more!

After the wedding was all done, and the chaos over, Travis & I zipped up to Canmore & Edmonton for a few days! It rained the whole time in Canmore, so we weren't able to enjoy the beautiful mountains! In Edmonton we stayed in the fantasyland hotel, in a hollywood themed room...and wow! Do I have a great husband who spoils me! The room was incredible! Jacuzzi, amazing bed, light show, giant tv, glass shower and so much more! (ok yes, that is a stripper pole in the corner...and mirrors on the roof...classy! haha)

I'm so lucky to have found such a great guy, who continues to spoil me each day! Marriage is a team sport and I learn more about it everyday, it definatly is not easy, but it is most definatly worth it, especially if it is a temple marriage. Being at the temple, kneeling across that altar, looking into Travis's eyes, not really paying attention to what is being said by the sealer, trying not to cry (as it would ruin my make up) and knowing this is the right place to be married was the greatest feeling anyone could ever ask for. It was a long road to get to that moment, but nothing else but that single moment mattered in the whole day. I kept telling people before the wedding, "I have the guy and I have the temple booked, if everything else goes wrong, it won't matter"

I am also super lucky to have such a great support system. My family was with me every step of the way! I also had some pretty spectacular bridesmaids (Even if some were not in the same city during the planning) Each one of them made my day that much more perfect!
I'm sorry I dragged them around all day in the hot sun taking a bazillion pictures...and I feel bad that they all got a little bit sun burnt...whoops! They were so supportive all day and it meant the world to me! I hope Brooke, Mackenzie and Karina know how much I love and appreciate them! I also can't wait for each of them to get married!
The groomsmen were also very cooperative through the whole day and I didn't hear them complain once! They also wore pink ties and socks...so I love them too!!

Again, our day was perfect. Everyone's wedding day should be perfect, that's what everyone deserves, and I hope everyone gets to feel as happy I did on that day! (And every day for that matter!!) Thanks for everyone who helped, came, gave gifts or simply said congrats, it meant the world to us! I promise to post more wedding pictures and pictures of our new little place and our adventures in marriage! Love you all!

xoxo
