Oh my! Its may!

Ryan Gosling understands my career.

Where the heck have the last few months gone? Seriously...wasn't it JUST Christmas?? Obviously we have been very busy, but here are a few updates! (mostly in picture form, because I am in no mood to type)

I have been working a lot (as per usual) and I have just started a temporary full time position in the operating room! (Yikes! How did that happen!)What that means for me is:
-Four, ten hour shifts a week -ordering probably 90% of supplies for the operating room (minus drugs and other random things)
-making sure each surgery has the correct instruments and supplies -running a little sterilizer
-Preparing all the paperwork for the Central Sterilizing department for regularly booked surgeries and emergency added on cases.
-running around for nurses when they can't find a specific instrument
-faking it when people ask me surgical advice (um...hello! I am NOT the Doctor!)
-walking in on Doctors who are sleeping or praying (Awkward!)
I literally do a million things that I could not even begin to list them all...all I know is those 10 hours FLY by and I am always worn out by the time 5pm rolls by!

All gone :(
My parents opened a frozen yogurt shop, Froyo Mill. It is delicious and it is a good thing I don't live close enough to go every day, because I would, and then I would be a million pounds. Speaking of weight...I've lost almost 15 pounds! That's exciting, but I hate talking about my weight, so enough of that nonsense.

We have 2 new super cute niblings! Little Josh and Myla. Super adorable. I love being an aunt!

-I have recently discovered that my mom was super cute when she was little. I cannot get over it. SO CUTE!! Look at them pigtails!!
- My grandparents celebrated their 50th anniversary where my sister and I shared a deliciously messy chocolate covered pineapple on a stick. Yum.

mmmm!

-Travis passed all his class this semester with flying colors! Yay! Right now he is in Oyen doing a practicum, leaving me home alone to do some much needed blogging. (and work, and cleaning, and watching the O.C.)

Here are a few of my latest projects:

**Literally this picture frame has been hanging on the wall empty since we moved into this place...every time my home/visiting teachers come over I am always so embarrassed that I have an empty frame hanging...whoops! At least it is filled with something now!!

Thank heavens for crafty friends!
Does this mean I am a crazy bird lady?
A present for a temple sealing.
I made this in 15 minutes in a craft club competition. Obsessed with bunting.
A wedding present.
My front entryway. Obsessing over this birdcage!
Another wedding present :)

As you probably noticed, once I do something, I like to recreate it...because secretly I am not that creative, so when I find something that works, I stick with it. There are also a few decoration things among those pictures...trying to make our place a little more homey!

A few weeks ago I had to say goodbye to my very best friend who has left on a mission to Manchester, England. I am so proud of her and it was so hard to say goodbye, but I know she is will do great and have many wonderful experiences that will change her life!!
ALSO my brother got his mission call...CRAZY! He was called to the Winnipeg mission! I am so excited he is staying in Canada because that means he gets to go right out and serve the people of his own country!! How cool will it be for him to go back and visit his mission with it only being a few hours a way? Mission calls are truly inspired from the lord, and even though Clarke could have been sent anywhere in the world, Canada needed Clarke, because he is such an amazing guy! (Seriously, all the old ladies in his ward want to adopt him!!)
Speaking of church, the wards in Medicine Hat just got rearranged and a new ward was formed. For weeks I feared that all the people we had met and became friends with would be in a different ward then us...and it came true! Looking over our new ward list, we only recognize a few names, but this will give us an opportunity to meet a lot more people...which is exciting/scary! I am crossing my fingers that I will get a new calling! (even though somehow I got roped into playing the organ anyway until things are all sorted out with callings...) Travis got a new calling right away...but you will have to wait to hear about what it is :) Luckily we will still be taking turns with another couple DJ'ing the youth dances...which I absolutely love! The youth are so fun and easy going. (Plus they thing we are pretty cool DJ's!) I just really hope I wasn't that crazy/weird when I went to youth dances...but I know I was!!

I think that's about it for the update...sorry for the random nature of this post!
Sorry for the crappy quality of my pictures, they mostly came from Instagram!
