Yes, we are alive.

I haven't blogged for well over a month because apparently I had "used up all my space" on blogger.
My options were to delete old posts, make a new blog or pay a monthly fee of like $2. I didn't want to do any of these options, and luckily I have a very smart sister-in-law whole came up with a solution for me!
So I am back to blogging...until I realize I have no time.

Christmas for us was wonderful, but honestly how can time with family and friends(and no work) not be wonderful? We were able to spend 2 weeks away from our life in Medicine Hat and relax! As usual we ate way too much and got way too many things!

I have been working non stop (as per usual) and its nice that I can flip my time between the operating room and the main central processing department. It is a nice feeling to work hard and get paid well, but a little disheartening when most of my pay goes towards Travis's tuition and books. (I keep reminding him that he will forever owe me...because lets be real, I could buy A LOT of clothes with all that money! Hah! Just kidding, my mom keeps reminding me that its an "investment" for my future. Which is so true, and he is working hard!) hopefully in the next little bit Travis will get a part time job to fill up his spare time this semester.

Our new place has been awesome! We love it so much and was SO worth the move. The extra space and the privacy is something we are very thankful for...I do not miss that old apartment building one bit!!

Here is a funny story about church callings...
As you may know, I have been my ward organist since the second we moved to Medicine Hat...and I wouldn't say I hate it, but it certainly was never on my calling "wish list" I would much rather be in nursery, primary or young woman's. luckily I get called to substitute in primary and nursery quite often! Anyways...the other week at church the bishop asked me before church if I would meet him in his office after sacrament to speak with him. I was so excited! The day had finally arrived for me to get a new calling! I knew they were changing the YW's and that they needed to call someone to teach the 3-4 year olds. I would be excited for either! But sadly...I was just asked to speak in church for the next week. I was so bummed out! Then travis (who had been the 1st councillor in the elders quorum presidency for just a few months) had a meeting that next week with the bishop and I thought nothing of it until he came home saying he got a new calling. WHAT?! When I asked him what it was he quickly responded "nursery" then I was really mad!! But he was only joking and he is now the 1st councillor in the young mens!
I was pretty disappointed that travis had a really fun calling until today!!
Travis and I were asked by the stake to DJ the youth dances! How fun is that??
(Travis isn't very excited because he is more of a "classic rock" kind of guy...but I am all about the top 40 music and all the fun dance music!) I cannot wait to start putting playlists together and our first "gig" is Friday night!

So between work, the gym, "Bachelor" night, craft club and everyday things...I have been busy!
I'll try and be better at updating this blog when exciting things happen, because I have a feeling 2013 will be a great year :)

P.s. My BEST friend got her mission call and I am SO proud of her and I was lucky enough to be there with her when she opened it...what a neat experience! I can't wait till it is my little brothers turn!! (Ok, he is not very little!)

AND we had a brand new nephew born this past week and I can't wait to meet little Joshua! (We would have went up this past weekend but I was SO sick and I didn't want to be around a fresh baby with a bad cold!) AND we will have another niece born in about 7 weeks which is also very exciting! (No babies here though!!)

One more thing...this is my latest crafty endeavour:
