Macaul Turns 19!

No longer 18! Yahoo!

I don't like to mention how old I am to people. Usually I get these reactions:
-Are you pregnant?
-Are you crazy?
-Do your parents hate you?
-You must be mormon.
-Did you drop out of highschool?
-Did you skip any grades?

Yes I am Mormon. No I am not pregnant, nor do my parents hate me for getting married. Some may say I am crazy and I did graduate high school AND my program at the college.

I got engaged 2 months after I turned 18...and I wouldn't have it any other way! I have never been happier and I could't imagine my life without Travis.

I was in Lethbridge on my birthday and Travis was in Medicine Hat. My sister and I planned to go pick up Travis in Medicine Hat after his exam to get our "new" couches to our apartment. Sounds lame. SO fun. We kind of miscalculated the space needed to bring back the couch we had back to barnwell...made for an interesting ride back from The Hat....whoops! Good news though! There is this magical bakery in Bow Island and there was a sign that said "Eat FREE on your birthday!" SO exciting. Once we got back to Lethbridge, My Family, Travis and I went to Firestone for dinner and had so much fun! Family time is always fun!

**Side note. The day before my birthday on December 15th, there was quite the tragedy that happened near the town of Claresholm (about an hour from Lethbridge) involving a bunch of people around my age. You always hear about these terrible events in the news and think of murderers as terrible and disgusting people. In this case, I didn't know the victims, but I knew the murderer. I went to School and church with him...heck he even hung out at my parents house a couple of times. I can't even begin to think how a human being could be capable of terrible things, especially when I knew him to be such a great guy. My prayers are with his family and with the families of the victims in this sad story. If you have no idea what I am talking about, read this:http://news.nationalpost.com/2011/12/18/claresholm-shooter-to-ex-girlfriend-this-nights-not-going-to-end-well-for-you/

Enough of the sad stuff. But this was on my mind heavily for the next week or so. What a crazy world we live in! I will certainly never forget this birthday, or Derek.

Here are some fun pictures from that day! (sorry for the some-what depressing post!)

Pinto Macbean!

This one is my favorite! Matching mittens, pants, boots...but not faces haha
